And the Winner Is …
See who won our contest for tickets to Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s “Coppelia”!
Earlier this month, we ran a contest asking readers to submit a photo of their child with a favorite toy for a chance to win tickets to Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s production of the romantic comedy “Coppelia,” which ran April 13 through 15.
Winner Holly Conner of Dormont received two tickets to Friday evening’s show. Congratulations to the Conner family!
Conner won by submitting the photo above, of her 7-year old daughter, Fiona, and her Littlest Pet Shop collection. Conner has three daughters. She said she could never choose one over the other, so she and her husband had a “date night,” and enjoyed dinner in the city with friends before the show.
In an email to Dormont-Brookline Patch, Conner said it was a blast to be in Pittsburgh with the ballet and Penguins hockey game happening on the same evening, and that they enjoyed the opportunity.
“I cannot recall the last time I saw such a fun and expressive ballet,” she said. “The costumes were beautiful and the sets were so detailed. My husband thought the ballet was fantastic and quite whimsical … The live orchestra just further enhanced the entire experience. It was like experiencing two shows in one.”
