Another option could be #1 Cochran paying off existing debt to Borough for large corner parking lot IN ADDITION TO other land swap. They could also vacate the lot first prior to construction of the Infiniti dealership so the business owners in the 3200 block of W Liberty experience little or no hardship at the projects onset. The Mt Lebanon Methodist Church(Corner of Peermont W Liberty and Scott Rds) should be pursued for potential permit parking for business owners of 3200 block of W Liberty as well as the former Eckerd Drug/Beer distributor site for temporary permint parking.I do think any proposed constructionof a new building should be evaluated by Borough officials, but there is ZERO continuity in the 3200 block of W Liberty currently from the bland stucco Diskriter building(for sale) to the recently renovated Len LaChina building housing Katana Sushi/McManus etc. to Cain's to Conte Hair Design, I see no architecturally significant structures or any worthy of Pgh History and Landmark's certification.

If Cochran's proposal is the best option, with $20 million + in near and distant new future revenue streams, we need to counter their offer. You can't negotiate when you don't try !

Yeah Bob I don't know how this works out amicably without Cochran at the very least paying off what is still owed for that property. We currently hold the land that THEY WANT. Typically that is a good position to be in.

Gotta agree with Drew. Also, what will the difference in parking spots be?

Time to negitiate something favorable to the Borough for compensation and parking. We must have the businesses in the 3200 block come first in creating a parking situation where they have maximum parking prior to a shovel hitting the ground. Rite Aid and MTL Methodist Church NEED pursued.MAybe Cochran pays for permit parking for 1-2 years at those sites or something similar.
